Once upon atime there lived a sheperd who grazed his sheep and goats by the mountain side. One winter day as he was driving his flock home, he noticed that a few wild goats had joined with his herd and he was elated at the opportunity to increase his fold.

As fate would have it it snowed for three days that the farmer was unable to take out his flock out to their pastures. During this time he prepared the driest place for new goats, fed them on the best hay and paid alittle more attention to them, thinking that if he treated them well then they will be motivated to stay.

Once the snow had subsided he drove the herd out however on the return journey home he noticed that the wild goats did not return with the rest of the flock and was troubled at their behaviour.

He spent days searching for the goats trying to understand why they decided to run back into the wild despite the kindness he had shown them. Once he caught up with them they explained " Seeing how cruel you treated your usual flock and treated us strangers well, we discerned that it wont be long before you abandoned us once you found some new sheep or goats to pay attention to!!"

Moral of the story is 'Be careful of strange people who treat you too well'

"The future is inside us and to discover it all we need to do is live"

These are the words of an Italian man is who currently doing a three year self exile from life in a cave in a desert somewhere. He describes this as an eye opening experience to spend time away from the daily stresses of life, relax the body, forget the routines and only fight one enemy "boredom"!!

How so true are his words, as a believer in life being made of experiences the future is not made of the passage of time but shaped by the actions that we engage in! It is therefore by 'living' by acting upon our situations that we get to experience life.

On the other hand history is shaped by the passage of time. Time therefore is the medium through which we shape our history. It provides the window for us to act and discover life while at the same time judging what legacies we leave for ourselves. Time is fiend and foe, presenting the opportunity while judging harshly if allowed to. So as they say

"Life is an experience, live it"

Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all? Well besides asking my mirror that question every morning as i dress up, i have stuck a wise quote on it so that i can be reminded every time of what it says;
Success only comes to those who dare and act, it seldom goes to the timid who are afraid of consequences. We play for high stakes and if we seek to achieve great things it can only be through great dangers!

I have been reminded of that fact this past weekend as i realized i could have lost something precious as i bade my time considering the consequences!!.

We have this cliche at work that goes; Analysis Paralysis - meaning if you analyse things too long you paralyse your ability to act on the situation as all possible solutions cease to make any sense!!

Therefore take sometime to consider consequences but let that no be the end result of your efforts, more importantly take action!
